I Have No Limit When Spending Money on These 5 Things

It’s not being irresponsible, it’s making a good investment

You see an awful lot of advice on what you shouldn’t spend your money on.

But what about the things you should be spending it on?

Smart personal finance is as much knowing what to spend your money on as it is about saving and investing for the future.

Because honestly, spending money on the right things is an even better investment than the 7% lifetime returns you can expect to receive from your IRA.

And that’s why I have no limit when spending money on these 5 things:

Knowledge

I used to hesitate when a friend would recommend a book that had a $12.99 price tag.

I’d scoff, “That’s food for an entire day.”

But what I failed to understand was that every book I didn’t read was a missed opportunity for investing in myself.

We live in a world driven by knowledge and skills. The more you possess, the more valuable you are to society, and the greater your potential earnings.

Today, I don’t bat an eye at a $12.99 book, or even an online course that costs $299. If it teaches me the skills I’m looking for…
